Pediatric Physical Therapy
in Fayetteville, AR
Why Physical Therapy?
Pediatric physical therapy helps a child develop body control using the larger muscles. Developmental gross motor skills include but are not limited to rolling over, sitting by themselves, crawling, walking, running, hopping, and keeping their balance. Children may need help achieving these developmental milestones if they have developmental delays, an injury, or they have a medical condition that has caused muscle weakness.
Our goal is to improve gross motor skills so they can achieve their best mobility and independence. We have countless ways to build these strengths and abilities. When progress is made with fun and play, they enjoy every session and want to come back for more! Our facility was designed from the ground up to create the optimal environment for their progress. We have assembled a dedicated team of experts to provide your child’s care.
Signs Your Child Might Need Physical Therapy

Here are some of the most common signs:
- Not meeting or skipping developmental milestones
- Low muscle tone or weakness
- Toe walking or difficulties walking
- Falling often or seeming clumsy
- Not keeping up with other children during play
- Babies turning their head in one direction or favoring one direction
- Favoring the use one side of their body
Our skilled and experienced therapists can improve the quality of life and independence when these and similar signs are present.
How we Provide the Most Effective Pediatric Physical Therapy
As we provide physical therapy to our patients, we are looking to improve their:
- Range of motion
- Strength
- Flexibility
- Balance
- Movement patterns
- Gross motor skills such as walking, jumping, and throwing
- Injury recovery
They may never realize they’re doing physical therapy! They’re just throwing toys at a target, dancing to music, jumping into a ball pit, riding a tricycle, or swinging through the air.
We have built an atmosphere of pure enjoyment that kids thrive and make their best progress in. Our team is committed to working closely with caregivers to promote the carry over of skills into other environments.

A Typical Physical Therapy Session Includes:
After qualifying for therapy in the initial physical therapy evaluation, your child can begin therapy with us! The first session will begin with you receiving a copy of your child’s therapy evaluation report and going over the report with the therapist. Afterward, your child will accompany their therapist into the treatment area, usually from the entrance waiting room. Our therapy sessions are designed to be fun and motivating for the children. To someone who isn’t a therapist it often just looks like play! But shhh… don’t tell the kiddos, they are actually working.
The session will last between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the appointment time and the toleration of the child. The therapist and your child will meet you in the exit waiting room 5-7 minutes before the end time to discuss the session, goals, progress, and homework.
